It's confirmed: It's Showtime will be taking over the timeslot of the Happiest Home on GMA-7. The signing between GMA-7 and ABS-CBN executives will take place today, March 20, 2024. A historic moment is set to unfold this Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

This is the signing of the contract between GMA-7 executives and ABS-CBN executives for the formal transfer of It's Showtime to the timeslot vacated by the Happiest Home, the noontime variety show of TAPE Inc. which bid farewell to television on March 8, 2024. The contract signing is scheduled for four o'clock in the afternoon at Studio 7 of GMA Network. It is expected to be attended by seventeen personalities who are part of the Kapamilya Network's noontime show, led by Vice Ganda.
Before the contract signing, the arrival of the It's Showtime hosts will be captured together at the GMA Network premises' Timog Avenue main entrance.
On Tuesday morning, March 19, the staff of the Kapamilya Network's noontime variety program conducted an ocular inspection at the Kapuso Network building.
Aside from the It's Showtime hosts, the contract signing will be attended by ABS-CBN artists and the contract stars of Sparkle GMA Artist Center, the talent management arm of GMA-7. Among the mainstay hosts of It's Showtime is Ogie Alcasid, who will once again step foot on the grounds of GMA-7 after eleven years. Ogie spent eighteen years as a contract star of GMA-7 before deciding to move to TV5 in 2013 and ABS-CBN in 2016.
It's a big deal to see him once again on his former home studio because next month, April 2024, It's Showtime will be seen on the Kapuso Network. On July 1, 2023, It's Showtime began airing on GTV, the subsidiary channel of GMA-7, after the simulcast agreement between ABS-CBN and TV5 ended on June 30, 2023.
