Hinimok ni Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea ang mga senador na muling balikan ang probisyon ng Bayanihan Law

Sa isang post sa kanyang Facebook, hinikayat ni Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea ang mga senador na suriin muli ang probisyon ng Bayanihan Law na kanilang mismong ginawa upang tugunan ang pandemya. Ayon sa kanya, nakasaad sa batas na dapat magsumite ang Office of the President (OP) ng lingguhang ulat sa Senado at Kongreso tungkol sa lahat ng mga pagbili at aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa pandemya.

Sinabi rin niya na nagawa ng OP ang pagsusumite ng mga ulat para sa mga komento ng mga senador at mambabatas, ngunit maliban sa ilang indibidwal, walang nagbigay ng kanilang mga komento. Pinagtibay ni Medialdea na kung mayroong nagbigay ng mga komento sa mga ulat na isinumite ng OP, malamang na hindi na nangyari ang Blue Ribbon hearing na nagresulta sa pag-aaksaya ng oras, pagsisikap, at pera ng gobyerno.

In his Facebook post, Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea urged the senators to revisit the provision of the Bayanihan Law that they themselves crafted to address the pandemic. According to him, the law states that the Office of the President (OP) is required to submit a weekly report to the Senate and Congress on all purchases and activities related to the pandemic. He also mentioned that the OP has submitted reports for the senators' respective comments, but aside from a few individuals, no one provided any feedback. Medialdea emphasized that if there had been comments on the reports submitted by the OP, the time-consuming and costly Blue Ribbon hearing could have been avoided.
